Dubai Shopping Festival 2022 saw the introduction of new digital experiences with public participation and capturing festival highlights via their mobile phones.
In partnership with Lucid Dreams, we created an interactive metaverse with 23 unique augmented reality experiences across the city of Dubai.
By simply scanning the QR code on the red festival bag available at select concert locations and on storefronts, the doors opened to new experiences each week for over 30,000 shoppers.
Augmented reality experiences included butterflies, 3D flowers, and beautiful laser beam formations to add even more magic to the opening party of the Dubai Shopping Festival.
Users were able to record all experiences and share on social media platforms.
Other augmented reality entertainment includes light effects that mimic Dubai’s aurora borealis, many festive festival effects popping up around music performers and unique geolocalized selfie filters available at the Al Seef Market.
